Project 1: Transmitting a JPEG file in GNU Radio environment without USRPs

    This project is target for us to test GNU Radio environment without hardware support such as the Universal Software Radio Peripheral (USRP). We use TCP/IP socket to connect between two PCs with Linux OS.


Project 2: Performance analysis of channel estimation and adaptive equalization in slow fading channel

    This is a wireless communication simulator including Gray coding, modulation, different channel models (AWGN, flat fading and frequency selective fading channels), channel estimation, adaptive equalization, and demodulation.


Project 3: Real-world Transmission with GNU Radio and USRP

    In this project, we do several experiments to test the link between two USRP by data transmission, voice transmission, and TCP/IP transmission. Two sets of USRP and RFX900 are needed.


Project 4: Cross-layer Wireless Video Testbed

    This is an open source cross-layer wireless video development platform and testbed where H.264 video is transmitted over software radio in real time. It is used for researchers to verify their own algorithms at the most flexibility.


Project 5: Real-time Encoding/Transmission/Decoding of Wireless Video

    This is an open source cross-layer wireless video development platform and testbed where H.264 video is encoded and transmitted over software radio, and decoded in real time. It is used for researchers to verify their own algorithms at the most flexibility.


Project 6: An Adaptive Video Streaming Platform with RTP/RTCP Protocol Implemented

    This is an open source development platform for adaptive video streaming over software radio or wired link. It can be used for researchers to verify their own algorithms at the most flexibility.  RTP/RTCP protocol is implemented in the platform.


Project 7: An Adaptive Video Streaming Platform with Adaptive Channel Coding

    This is an open source development platform for adaptive video streaming over software radio or wired link. Adaptive channel coding is implemented in the platform.
